About Paul Arnold

    G'day, I'm Paul Arnold.

For me photography is all about light and capturing a perfect instant in time that Mother Nature has created. I love the bush and watching how the light changes the way the landscape appears. What might initially be a bland and uninteresting scene can quickly come to life as the low rays from the afternoon sun illuminate the land. You would be amazed at what you can see when you just sit and wait. The bush comes to life before me, and that is what I try to capture. That’s the challenge; to photograph the bush in it's natural light and stay out of trouble when I am doing it!

I hope you enjoy my photography as much as I enjoy being out there and sharing my experiences with you.

    Our History

    How we got here.

I have been exploring the Australian Bush for the last 20 years, the biggest and best part of this adventure was when my wife Julie and I decided to pack up and travel this unique country full time.

This adventure lasted 5 years – just us, our 2 Rottis in the old GQ Patrol, and a swag that we called home.

During this time we saw some remarkable country but were both always drawn back to the Territory. The landscapes, the colours and the people is what we love… so now this is where we call home.

    Gallery

    Enjoy the bush in Darwin.

The Gallery on Mitchell Street opened in May 2008 and I have tried to create a unique space designed to bring a little bit of the bush to the city of Darwin.

The Gallery is filled with artefacts and rusty old relics found when I am out exploring our beautiful country. It is also where I display my limited edition work so please, if you are in Darwin come on in, take a little time out and enjoy the feel of the bush in the heart of Darwin city.

  •
Quality
