Water is the life blood of the planet and the movement of water in and around eco systems is paramount to the survival of those systems.  Eco systems have adapted themselves to the amount of water fresh and/or saltwater which makes them what they are. Linked shows the connection between the mangrove area and the floodplain system that connects to the drier savannah or open woodland areas.  The floodplains are water holding areas in the wet season but during the dry season they don’t hold enough water for permanent vegetation. The mangroves rely on the rise and fall of the tide and where that tide reaches they will grow. Linked shows the drain line between the two mangrove areas and to where the water reaches.
