THE GEAR.

2004 -2017 I used the camera as a recording device to capture moments in time.

2017 I started using my camera and computer as art-creating devices.

My camera of choice snce 2010 has been the Phase One system and currently, it is the Phase One XF 150mp.

The Phase One and I have been together since 2010 and in a number of forms. First the 50 megapixels, then the 80 the 100, and currently the 150 megapixels. I also had a technical system for a long period of time.

I traveled to all corners of the Northern Territory with this system and even drowned $80k of gear crossing a waterhole to get to a cave. Fun times.

My belief if you want to lead and stand the test of time you need to use the best equipment. Phase One is that gear.

THE PHASE ONE XF 150MP CAMERA SYSTEM

I use the XF system with a 150mp body. The sensor is 2.5x the size of a full-frame DSLR sensor and effectively the same size as 645 film format.

Couple this with Scheinder-Kreuznach Lens the system is currently the best on the market.

I refer to the system because in order to maintain quality and capture the best light with the best data the light must pass through the purest glass onto the best sensor.

Any compromise on lens or sensor reduces the quality of the data and therefore the ability to push the data to limits standard equipment can not do.
